TASK 7

Assalaamu Alaykum,

Task 7 is the following:

Delete every song you have on your phone, ipod, pc, laptops and remove all cds from your car. Only keep 5 songs no more. Keep listening to surah yusaf khalid al juhaym http://youtu.be/t0wQ3fKg2IY

TASK 6

Assalaamu alaikum -  task 6

As mentioned in task 5 we requested you start building a collection of surahs, have you done this? if not please do this.

For the next three days try and listen to more Quran than songs e.g if you listen to two songs then listen to three Surahs, if you listen to 4 songs listen to 5 surahs.
If you do this correctly you should begin automatically reducing the amount of music you listen to.
Last but not least every time you hear music read surah ar ra'd, this can be on tv, travelling in the car with friends or family, occasions, when in public etc, this is to maintain your firmness of your imaan when the temptation of music is heard, this will be difficult as your inner emotions will try to overtake your state of mind, so this is a test itself.
And below is the video to watch each night before sleeping no interruptions Insha Allah

TASK 4 [part 2]

Asalaamu Alaykum,

Part 2 of task 4 is the following:

*If you have completed task 4 part 1 which was recording your voice and listening back to it, this should have been a positive impact insha allah.

Now we've all heard of selfie videos and how much effort we make in taking these to make them perfect right?

*For the next few days record yourself (on video) reciting the ayah in task 2 watch this back everyday when you are alone.

*Also during the next few days Avoid music completely and spend 30 minutes on your own listening to Quran link is below again we have chosen a different reciter, again no disruptions.

Reflect on why you are doing this and what it means to you to build a relationship with Allah

This will be tough, but remember to keep in mind that nothing is difficult to please Allah swt first and then think about our self.

If you recognise this, it will definitely may the challenge more easier for you insha allah

TASK 4 [part 1]

Assalaamu Alaylkum,

Hope this challenge is going great and that you're keeping up with it. :)

Task 4 is the following:

*For the next few days read 2 rakats before sleeping and then record your voice reading the ayah in task 2

The reason for this is you will be able to reflect on your own voice hearing the recitation of the
Quran.

This is a similar technique you do when memorising a favorite song which can be done within days and it can change the way you feel, think and conduct your life.
during the day keep listening back to your recorded voice attentively.

TASK 3

Asalaamu Alaykum,

Pray you're all doing amazingly well. :)

Task 3 is the following:-

*During the next few days Listen to Surah Al Qiyaamah by Idrees Abkar every night before sleeping, remember there must be no interruptions. Listen to the surah with full concentration and read the translation, try to connect to the sound of the surah as you would to a song.
You will notice we have chosen different qaris for different tasks this is because of the tone balancing with the task given.

*During the day continue memorising the surah in task 2 as often as you can

TASK 2

Asalaamu Alaykum,

How are you all finding the challenge? :)

Are you able to connect better with the Quran already?

Ok, so, the second task of the challenge is the following:

* For the next 3 days make a note of how many songs you have memorised and write them down. (write them daily)

* Whilst doing this start memorizing the following Ayah a
nd recite it as much as possible during the day Chapter 13 Verse 28 from surah Ar Ra'd. remember you can access this from your phone, get your friends to join in and support you
Here is the link only 33 secs long compared to a 6-8 min song:

Introduction and TASK 1

Asalaamu Alaykum,

Thank you for taking up this challenge about slowly introducing Quran into your daily routine, increasing it and seeing the benefits. :)

Many of you have provided various examples why you listen to less Quran and more music, these are either because:

1) Something personal has happened in your life that you cannot get over

2) You are going through a period in your life which you are finding difficult and the music is comforting you

3) You have tried listening to more Quran but keep switching to music instead

4) Listening to music makes you part of the group you mingle with

5) Music gives you a boost or adrenaline

These are just some of the few examples

Ok, so here it is the challenge will start of with a small task for the next 3 days we request you do the following:

* Make the following Du’a to Allah to make you successful in this task you have chosen

“OH TURNER OF HEART, KEEP MY HEART FIRM ON YOUR DEEN"

* Every night listen to Surah Al Yusuf By Khaled Juhaym - When doing this you must be remember to be in a place where you will not be disturbed, before you go to sleep, but not when you are sleepy, do wudhu to make you awake, alert and aware. If you cant access your pc you can listen to the surah on you tube, remember if you are going to do the challenge you must make the effort. Be attentive to the sound of Quran and feel the glorious words.

Last but not least, the task may seem difficult but remember nothing is impossible with the help of Allah swt make your correct Neiyah Insha Allah, link to the surah is below.
